Why brain vascular health deserves attention.
Brain aneurysms can develop quietly. Awareness, not alarm, is the first step. This screening can be especially relevant if any of these sound familiar.
Read: brain aneurysm screening explained-
Family history
A family history of aneurysm or stroke is one of the more relevant risk indicators.
-
Blood pressure
Long-standing high blood pressure is associated with vascular wall changes over time.
-
Smoking history
Smoking history is a well-recognised risk factor for vascular findings.
-
Connective tissue
Certain connective tissue conditions may carry added relevance for this screening.
From scan to next steps.
Aira may help identify aneurysm-related findings, where detectable within the protocol. Then we help you understand them.

Your blood test is one layer. Aira adds another.
Blood tests provide valuable biochemical and metabolic information. Whole Body MRI adds anatomical information, such as blood vessel structure in the brain, that blood tests can’t provide on their own.

Questions about brain aneurysm screening
Aira’s Whole Body MRI based screening includes brain imaging that may help identify aneurysm-related findings, where detectable within the protocol. It is a screening checkup, not a diagnostic test. Any flagged finding is reviewed by a doctor, who may recommend further specialist evaluation.
Adults with a family history of aneurysm or stroke, long-standing high blood pressure, or a smoking history may find this screening particularly relevant. It is included in Aira’s broader Whole Body MRI based health checkup for all adults.
Blood tests provide biochemical and metabolic information. Whole Body MRI adds anatomical and structural information, such as the shape of blood vessels in the brain, that blood tests can’t provide on their own.
The MRI component of Aira’s screening does not use ionising radiation.
A typical Whole Body MRI takes about 45 to 60 minutes. You lie comfortably in an open-bore scanner while the imaging is completed.
No. Aira is a screening for people who feel well. A sudden, severe headache, a stiff neck, blurred or double vision, or fainting needs emergency care now. Please call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
