Read: visceral fat and metabolic risk
  • Visceral fat & metabolic risk

A sedentary lifestyle and high-calorie diet patterns are linked to visceral fat build-up.

  • Family history

A family history of abdominal or metabolic conditions may add relevance to this screening.

  • Age 35 and over

Metabolic changes from 35 onwards make abdominal awareness increasingly relevant.

From scan to next steps.

Aira may help identify tumour-related and abdominal findings, where detectable within the protocol. It flags findings for your doctor to review. It is not a substitute for diagnostic testing.

Your blood test is one layer. Aira adds another.

Blood tests offer metabolic markers. Whole Body MRI adds a structural view of the abdomen, including visceral fat distribution and abdominal organs, that blood tests can’t provide on their own.

Different tests. Different information. One broader picture.

Questions about visceral fat & abdominal screening

Aira’s Whole Body MRI based screening may help identify tumour-related and other abdominal findings, where detectable within the protocol. It is a screening checkup, not a diagnostic test. Any flagged finding is reviewed by a doctor, who may recommend further specialist evaluation.

Visceral fat is fat stored around the abdominal organs, and is associated with metabolic risk. Aira’s screening may help assess visceral fat distribution as part of the broader abdominal evaluation.

No. Aira’s Whole Body MRI based checkup is a complementary screening that may help identify certain findings within its protocol. It does not replace condition-specific tests recommended by your doctor.

No ionising radiation. MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves, and in most cases there are no injections or contrast agents.

A typical Whole Body MRI takes about 45 to 60 minutes. You lie comfortably in an open-bore scanner while the imaging is completed.

Please see your doctor first. A new lump, unexplained weight loss, persistent abdominal pain or unusual bleeding needs a prompt medical assessment, not a wait for a screening.
