Your brain,
seen clearly.
Brain & neurological screening comes with every Aira Whole Body MRI based health checkup. It gives a detailed look at brain structure and blood vessels, reviewed by radiologists and explained in plain language.

What we look at, inside.
Within the validated Aira protocol, a radiologist reviews your brain imaging for important findings, where detectable.
-
1
Brain structure
The overall form of brain tissue, reviewed as part of your broader neurological health.
-
2
Stroke-related changes
May help reference silent stroke-related abnormalities, which can occur without obvious symptoms.
-
3
Blood vessels
May help identify aneurysm-related findings in the vessels of the brain, where detectable.
-
4
Wider neurological structure
Structures beyond the brain itself, read alongside your spine imaging from the same scan.
What a scan can show varies from person to person. Aira is a screening, not a diagnosis. Your doctor explains any finding and the next steps.
Some changes happen quietly.
Brain vascular changes can develop without symptoms. Awareness, not alarm, is the first step. A look at the brain is especially relevant if any of these sound familiar.

Family history
A parent or sibling with an aneurysm or stroke is one of the more relevant indicators.
-
High blood pressure
Long-standing high blood pressure is associated with changes in vessel walls over time.
-
Diabetes or high cholesterol
Both are closely linked to brain vascular risk and contribute to vascular changes over time.
-
Smoking history
A well-recognised risk factor for vascular findings, including past smoking.
-
Age 45 and over
Risk naturally rises with age, so awareness becomes more useful each year.
Two focused screenings. One scan.
All conditions & findingsBrain aneurysm screening
Brain imaging that may help identify aneurysm-related findings, part of your Whole Body MRI.
Most relevant with
- Family history
- High blood pressure
- Smoking history
Silent stroke screening
Some stroke-related changes happen without obvious symptoms. Brain imaging may help identify them.
Most relevant with
- Blood pressure & diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Age 45+
Your blood test is one layer. Aira adds another.
Blood tests can flag cholesterol and blood sugar trends. Whole Body MRI adds a structural view of the brain, including its blood vessels, that blood work can’t give on its own.
Different tests. Different information. One broader picture.

Questions about brain screening
Yes. Brain imaging is included within every Aira Whole Body MRI based health checkup, alongside the spine, chest, abdomen and pelvis, in a single visit.
It may help identify aneurysm-related findings, where detectable within the protocol. It is a screening, not a diagnosis. If something is found, your doctor explains what it means and the next steps, with a referral where appropriate.
Some stroke-related changes in the brain can happen without obvious symptoms. Aira’s brain imaging may help identify stroke-related findings, where detectable within the protocol. More on silent stroke screening.
No ionising radiation. MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves, and in most cases there are no injections or contrast agents.
A typical Whole Body MRI takes about 45 to 60 minutes, brain included. You lie comfortably in an open-bore scanner while the imaging is completed.
No. Aira is a screening for people who feel well. A sudden severe headache, weakness or numbness on one side, a drooping face or trouble speaking needs emergency care now. Please call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
